It looks as if the next 24 hours are going to be pretty rough in the UK, there are storm force winds coming in from the west. Going to follow the weather closely over the next few hours to see whether the mast needs tilting over or not. The Force 12 beam is pretty resilient but it may be best to play it safe. Trouble is it means the closed 40m loop has to be lowered as well! Not as bad as on Christmas Eve about 5 years ago, one of the worst storms we have know in the north, it's no fun trying to get a mast over in the driving rain when its blowing a gale and is pitch black. Forewarned is forearmed nowadays!
